Yoga greatly benefits body, mind and spirit. The practice of yoga increases strength, improves balance and range of motion, and relieves chronic pain. The breath work in a yoga class helps to lower blood pressure, slows down respiration and evokes the relaxation response. The practice of yoga stills the mind and gives participants a sense of peace, well-being, focus and clarity. The class consists of a series of warm ups, yoga poses and breathing exercises, and concludes with a final relaxation. Please eat lightly before the class and bring yoga blocks and a yoga blanket, if you have. Before registering for the class please consult your physician. The class will take place via ZOOM and all participants will be sent the link prior to the start of the class.
